Help: Amazon is asking for weight loss documentation for matcha green tea
Hello,
We have a months-long issue with a restriction placed on our products. We see other sellers also have faced or are facing the same issue.
We have matcha tea listings that are inactive as a restricted product and Amazon is asking for dietary supplement approval. As a dietary supplement, a COA of weight loss and GMP certificate is required. The problem is, our organic matcha green tea is not a weight-loss product.
We have tried explaining the situation and appealing many, many times with no resolution to make our products active again. These products have been on Amazon since 2018.
We are told to "edit" the listing, but since it is now restricted/gated, we are unable to make any edits. It is very frustrating. We believe it is likely something in the copy/bullet points/backend terms that triggered this issue, but we do not know what exactly caused this and cannot make any edits. We would like someone at Amazon to look at our Case ID and help us restore the product by removing any content causing the issue and request the product be reviewed again for approval requirements. Thank you.

You may not be able to edit it, but you should be able to delete it and recreate the listing with the old ASIN. That should allow you to update the listing and remove ANY reference to weight loss.

Hi @Seller_mYP7BXI5zDZor,
Thanks for reaching out with your difficulties with getting your products reviewed for possible reinstatement. You should be able to make updates to the listing via an Upload.
If you need specific assistance on this please provide your Case ID and I will see what escalation options exist. Thank you for your understanding.
