2 Day Handling time no longer enough time for USPS Ground Advantage?
This seems to be new... I've manually adjusted all my SKUs to 2 day handling time because Amazon keeps messing with the handling time since we ship quickly and much earlier than on the promised order time so their algo keeps trying to change us to same day/1 day handling time.
We do 2 day HT because USPS sometimes takes a couple days to simply scan the package from drop off and also to take advantage of the lower USPS rates of Ground Advantage and not getting stuck on Amazon requiring us to ship with Priority or regular Ground.
Since this year has started, it seems USPS Ground Advantage is no longer making the cut and we are getting pushed to UPS Ground Saver. This is costing us an additional $0.30-0.50 each order. This adds up really quickly.
Orders that show latest delivery a week later is still not enough time to use USPS Ground Advantage. This has never been an issue before. It seems like now I need to push all my SKUs to 3 day handling time.
Why does Amazon keep making this more difficult and expensive to ship? It doesn't take USPS Ground Advantage over a week to deliver anywhere in the US for us and we ship from Texas.
Attached is an example of an order shipping from TX to CA. Shipping today, Tuesday, Amazon shows USPS Ground Advantage won't deliver until next Wednesday so it's not protected and we need to use UPS Ground Saver. $0.38 price difference. We had 6 orders like this today.
