As a manufacturer, can I block a seller of my brand's products

In reply to: Blake_Amazon's post

I have two questions concerning the "Report a Violation" tool:

Q1: What is the appropriate channel to report hijackers offering low prices, with a delivery time of over 30 days, who are newly registered sellers from China? They consistently piggyback on my top-selling listings.

Q2: I came across a claim in a seller group suggesting that after September, we cannot report image infringements when another seller piggybacks on our listing. Instead, we must make a test purchase to gather evidence that the product they offer differs from the listing. (It is just a rumor, I haven't varify it from any Amazon official channel). Please clarify.

If the hijacker is based in China and promises delivery in more than 30 days, this test purchase approach implies a potential loss of sales for over 30+ days on a listing that took significant effort to create.

Thank you,

If I am in the Brand Registry program but do not have a fully executed Trademark, is there any way to report counterfeit items and have them successfully removed? (These are sellers on the product page - selling against my ASIN)

Currently ALL my best selling ASINs have sellers with counterfeit items selling against my brand. I do a test buy for every counterfeit item, then use the Report a Violation tool, and every time my request is rejected.

I wish there was a way to submit pictures when I report counterfeit items.

Bottom line. Am I wasting my time reporting all these counterfeit items? Am I doing something wrong when reporting?

The cycle right now is as follows.

1. Launch a product

2. Spend money advertising and ranking

3. Get lots of sales and review

4. Counterfeit items start appearing on the product page and ruin sales and reviews.

Just to be clear. These are not counterfeit items with their own ASIN (that is also a problem). These are counterfeit items on my brands ASIN.

Hello Amazon Brand Registry team,

How do we implement a NOT AVAILABLE option when other sellers try to add themselves to our branded product listings ? We have seen other brand owners exercise this option but want to do the same for our branded products. Please be specific and provide the steps we need to take to get this done.

Background: while reporting a violation is an option, we need to prevent the violation from happening in the first place. Amazon must do a better job of protection registered brand owners vs letting us deal with these frustrating situations.

Again, pls be specific in your reply. Thx.

Good morning! And thank you for being there for us.

We filed complaints last week against 3 sellers that were infringing on our copyrighted design.

We are a brand registered with the US Copyright Office and with Amazon's Brand Registry. Most of the 2 small sellers's ASINS were taken down almost immediately. For one of them, for reasons still unknown, 2 were left active. The third one with hundreds of ASINS under 2 PARENTS kept getting rejected for reasons I didn't understand for it is the same design and same violation as those taken down. I have sample proofs of purchase. I kept submitting more complaints wording it differently and adding more information but kept getting rejected. In my last attempt, I added attachments of the records that are in Amazon's Brand Registry of my documents and links to their violations in Amazon and a link to our website to make it easier to identify. They were all taken down. All these ASINS are under one of the infringing parent ASINS this seller has. They have 2. The other ones also need to be taken down.

The next day, however, I noticed that my access to RAv had been revoked. I answered the case as I was given one chance only to get reinstated. This morning I found that after a detailed investigation, it had been found that I have engaged in abusive conduct and now have been permanently banned from using RAV.

My complaint is legitimate. My questions are, how is this possible? The RAV tool is there for IP owners to protect their rights. How can I be denied access to it? I understand that submitting multiple complaints that are denied are against Amazon's Intellectual Property for Rights Owners Policy. However, if complaints that had been accepted for one seller are denied for another, what am I to do?

Needless to say that a seller with hundreds of violations against me are having a much more damaging effect than the small ones. What are my options?

I understand this Ask Amazon is focused on the Report a Violation Tool located within Brand Registry, but a previous post from @Sandy_Amazonmade me think they would also be able to answer questions on how to Report Abuse correctly for test buys.

Would this Ask Amazon event staff be able to answer questions about using the Report Abuse Tool after receiving a Test Buy that was counterfeit?

My questions involve the Report Abuse option titled: The product received is different than the product on the detail page (different version, model or product)

How do we implement a NOT AVAILABLE option when other sellers try to add themselves to our branded product listings ? We have seen other brand owners exercise this option but want to do the same for our branded products. Please be specific and provide the steps we need to take to get this done.

What are my options?

why is there not an actual phone number and support group for brand registered sellers? we need REAL support.

WHY can we not remove UN-LISTED sellers FROM OUR BRAND?! that is our brand and we should have the right to move these unwanted sellers off of our AISNS.

ive been fighting hi-jackers for a month straight, every single day... but brand registry does little to nothing to help the seller... we go through the process to become trademark and brand registered but for what? amazon is NOT helping us when un-athorized sellers are attacking our brands... we send in every supporting detail amazon asks for and get a denial ticket back and its just a never ending run-around.
